Child Safety
======================================
Working With Children Checks are a legal requirement in many localities. Complete compliance with all Child Safety requirements is an unquestionable aspect of working with children.
Where any party becomes aware of breaches of these requirements they are required to notify authorities and the Board of the Family Goju Karate.
Within the context of the Western Australian Government’s Safer Organisations, Safer Children framework we operate Child Safe and Child Friendly organisations.
A child-safe and child-friendly organisation:
includes, involves and values children;
has child-safe and friendly policies and procedures in place;
has vigilant recruitment, selection and screening of staff and volunteers to ensure their suitability to care for children; and
supports and respects staff and volunteers by providing training and clear guidelines.
A child safety risk assessment is maintained and available for viewing on request.
